I want to pass on my first try because OSCP is expensive with my currency. But I don't know exactly how easy or difficult the exam is. I've looked at a lot of resources about OSCP on the forum, but it seems so simplistic to me because there are always public CVEs involved. Can someone who has passed the exam tell me what level it is on average compared to the machines on hackthebox? I can solve machines at the Flight or Blackfield level, but the machines at the RopeTwo or Hackback level are very, very difficult for me. In fact, it's almost impossible at the moment because I only have entry-level assembly and binary exploit knowledge.

If you have done Dante pro lab on hack the box the AD set in the exam would be a piece of cake, tbh its not very hard technically i would say backfield is on par difficulty wise but the hard part is time management and not falling into rabbit holes, also would recommend booking the exam on a time slot you are used to (book ahead of time due to slots not always been free). One more resource that was quite accurate was Proving Grounds if you can manage to buy a subscription alot of the linux boxes that are made by offsec are quite accurate to the exam, side note tjnulls list is quite inaccurate imo so dont take it to heart.

try practice on HTB by completing a box within 2-3 hours, rinse and repeat this to try build the ability to see the bigger picture and not tunnel vision in on something, GL on your exam
