Do you want to feel like a real pro just by rolling into OSINT? Or maybe you're a pro who is on the lookout for new tools? Or maybe you're a security enthusiast looking for new ways to cover your toques? Seven woes one answer - I want to introduce you to a selection of preconfigured virtual machines created specifically for OSINT. You'll find both tools and security through separation of environments.
Use it to your heart's content! Good hunting to all!
- OSINT VM from Trace Labs. A gentleman's set of tools for every self-respecting specialist. It includes classics like Maltego and Spiderfoot, but also well-known console tools like theHarvester, Sublist3r and others. Even Obsidian for reserch installed! Important: Tools are not included in the distribution kit and are installed separately by script.
- SherlockLinux. This distribution is not only for work, but also for life. Besides a set of tools, it has everything you need and nothing extra. It has codecs, cool browser extensions and a bunch of useful bookmarks installed out of the box. All in all, I recommend giving it a try.
- CSI Linux. Well this is a living classic. Remember how in the first Matrix Neo and Trinity get into an endless warehouse of weapons before releasing Morpheus from the clutches of Agent Smith? CSI Linux feels the same way. There's a shitload of tools. To suit every taste. That's why the distro weighs dozens of gigs. Despite the redundancy, it's like Greece, it has everything.
- Tsurugi Linux. Another classic has arrived. If CSI has a lot of tools, Tsurugi has a ton of tools. It feels like they have crammed everything even slightly useful into it. You have to separate the grains from the chaff yourself. But I'll say this, I found there something that is not available in other distros and that I did not know that such things existed at all. The operating system is marvelous. I got into it once and disappeared into it. I wouldn't say it's a system for every day, but as a repository of useful tools and new ideas - it's the best.
Use it to your heart's content! Good hunting to all!
