THere's no right or wrong answer. (Spoiler, they're probably all wrong)

But I just want to know what peoples interpretations of this word, if it's a ubiquitous term and meaning or,otherwise?

"Woke" is the past tense of the verb "wake." It refers to the act of becoming awake or alert after sleeping or from reality. For example, "I woke up early this morning." Smile

While I think the current meaning in the media and pop culture is more focused on it being inflammatory and used to make more conservative people upset with the state of the world - it really does change in meaning depending on the person and their views.

I think everyone tries to be somewhat tolerant of other people and their lives so long as it does not disrupt their own. My neighbor going to a mosque doesn't bother me - but if they stole my bike it would bother me. I think being woke is when being tolerant goes too far - initially being used to try and achieve some equality but ultimately failing to do so either by swinging the scales too much or by failing to improve the situation in a meaningful and non-social way.

Also past tense of wake is a riot
