Electronics for Imaging, Inc. (EFI) is a digital imaging technology company specializing in print servers, inkjet printing, and workflow software solutions. The company operates globally and serves industries ranging from commercial printing to packaging and textiles.
EFI generates significant revenue, reaching nearly $998 million in 2017, with a strong presence in the digital printing market. Its products include Fiery print servers, wide-format inkjet printers, and software for print automation and color management.
EFI faced controversy in 2014 when it was fined for paying Indian workers just $1.21 per hour, well below the U.S. minimum wage. The incident sparked criticism from labor groups and politicians, leading to reputational damage.
The company’s reputation is further at risk following the leak of 19GB of sensitive corporate files, which could impact its operations and client relationships. These leaked documents reportedly contain critical business data, raising concerns over potential financial and reputational damage. Over 19.3 Gb in 13000 files.
I suspect this is a leak of their JIRA database, contains many photos and videos, engineering drawings, external/internal HR documents, many PO documents, email logs, engineering WIP concepts, and overall many internal corporate documents. I suspect most the content would've been available to the average employee with JIRA access but there are still many important documents that could damage their operations.
