SAHACHART SETHAKIT CO., LTD. was found in 1958 , intended to be active primarily in the timber trade. The company started working and trading in teak. The sawmill-quality logs were both supplied to our own sawmill in Ang-thong Province and sold locally. The higher grade, or veneer, logs were generally exported to foreign countries. By the mid 1960's the timber and veneer trades were declining and, therefore, we decided to expand the scope of our Company into mining.
