On Wednesday, an FBI Cyber Division Assistant Director announced over 7000 decryption keys were found.
LE seized 34 servers containing over 2.5k decryption keys, assisting them in creating a free Lockbit 3.0 Black Ransomware Decryptor.
The FBI now urges LockBit victims to reach out to them in order to recover encrypted data for free - The seized data was analyzed and the U.K's National Crime Agency + U.S Justice Department estimate LockBit and their affiliates have raked up to $1 billion in ransoms following 7,000 attacks targeting organizations worldwide between June 2022 and Feb 2024
