Basically title, I am a computer science student and I am interesting in studying cyber security. But I feel like there is so much stuff online that I don't know where to start. What would you reccomend to learn, and what topics?

Man just start reading because the classes your taking at school unfortunately aren't going to teach you much at all by way of security I've seen multiple domains taken over at companies that had a team of 'computer science' graduates running IT & sec when they got completely slapped. You need to research 'current' pentesting methods against 'current' environments. As @the_one_who_phishes mentioned you could start with some course but don't pay too much for stuff that can easily be found online by searching. There's different area's of hacking too there's people who focus on web apps because it's the easiest place to start and learn(like Cross site scripting/SQL injections/temp injection/command injection/etc.) then there's people who focus on hacking networks there's vastly more to be learned here but it's not as easy as targeting a single web app and needs knowledge in more area's like networking/tunneling/etc. So pick an area and start there - HacktheBox has a lot of free VM's you can practice against but be ready for a years long journey there's people that started 20 years ago an still learn everyday in a ever changing landscape.

There's a lot of resources out there ranging from Youtube Videos, coureses that are out there, lots of books, if you know how to google your way around, you can easily find digital pdf version of a lot of books that will get you started in the world of cyber security, plus it also depends on what niche of cyber security do you want to get into, do you want to learn about pentesting, or do you want to be more on the side of defense like SOC, or do you want to get into compliance and auditing, but again there's a lot of free resources available out on the internet that you can use to see what suits you best and then pick up on that path.
