What I used to do is trying to find projects to do related to whatever I was confortable at that moment. For example you´re playing a game, and you see something that could be usefull for you to have in a tool.
Then you spend time in making that tool, watch courses.. rewrite it..

If you are struggling with the basics, I would recommend Herbert Schildt's "Java: A Beginner's Guide" (any edition works; I use the sixth). PDFs for it are floating about the aether and have a bunch of exercises you can follow. Learning Java by book will certainly help with learning any other language they may teach.

I have had much difficulty while trying to learn Java, and everything. I do not think I can afford on-line classes too. Does anyone have tips on what to do, where to start from? Some good content for me to follow and catch up on the basics?

I've tried to research Brazilian content on YouTube and they were not satisfying, btw.

I struggled a lot with trying to understand everything, from the basis of the structure, etc. If anyone has a breakdown that is not so hard to understand for a 16 IQ uni student, I'd appreciate it a lot.

Do not listen to him

Programming can be super fun, but you have to approach it like a hobby, not another chore like reading huckleberry finn or giving a presentation on photosynthesis

Do you play minecraft? There are multiple tutorials on how to make minecraft plugins in java!

You like competing with others? There's a site called leetcode where you get challanged to do coding

Have a fun idea for a app and are using android? Try looking up some tutorials for that

What id recomend you do is to either first decide to use VS-Code or IntelliJ, and then try and do some fun project for yourself

Try too look at it as learing a new skill, and be happy for each acievement. Dont look down on yourself, learning programming from scratch is hard!

Also, if you have hand-ins that you feel are too difficult, im sure you can pay someone on here to help you haha. I'd do it for one too!!
