I would like to know if anyone knows how I can start learning reverse engineering and gain access to the source code of games (for educational purposes, as I need to analyze the code of a specific game to implement a similar mechanic in my own project, for a college course) and perhaps develop a skin changer for valorant.

Type "Practical Reverse Engineering filetype:pdf" in Google, this should be a good start too, very good book

You can find exercises on platforms such as Letsdefend, Tryhackme or Hackthebox. It's also good to be familiar with low level languages such as C/C++, ASM
