In the UK, you pay for the right to watch TV.

The UK has raised the fee for the right to watch TV. Big Grin
From now on, the state licence for colour TV will be £169.50 per year, and for black and white TV - £57 per year.

I wonder if the British only have to pay for UK channels or for IPTV and YouTube too?

thepiratebay for the win.
Get a display like they use in restaurants to show the menu or special. no tv tuner installed, no license required. Basically just a big ass computer screen.
Fuck the government.

If I understand correctly, this is a tax on the BBC channel. But everyone who watches any TV programs must pay. The English are paying for brainwashing.

Some of the ways that this law is executed is odd. as an english i know people who have stopped paying, and they will often get harrassed with letters until it turns into people at their doorstep, peering through their windows to try and see their TVs. I thought this was the same in all countries

Oh I see. Didn't know that was a thing. Even there in the UK how popular could public TV be right? This must be part of their taxes?

Huh, I can't believe public TV is popular there. Yet they get taxed on it. Idk
