It's certainly a concerning development, but predicting a nuclear war is speculative and it's crucial for diplomatic efforts to prevent such escalation.

It seems to me that NK is gearing up for something big - they're preparing lots of artillery apparently

North Korea has been doing this stuff for a long time. Last summer seemed to be the most serious of recent incidents: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/j...ards-japan. Even if they tried to launch a direct missile attack, it would not be certain to reach its target given their poor technology compared to USA/Japan, and they would be wiped out so fast with no one to their defense. This is assuming China would not back them, which I doubt they would since it would not be in their interest to engage in a hot war.

tbh I don't think they are a threat or ever will be. I'm starting to think it's just an act and they really don't have anything..
