Hello BreachForums community!
What do you think about the Practical Network Penetration Tester (PNPT) certification from TCM Security?
Is it good? Was it fun? Do you think it's a nice certification to have on your resume to land offensive security roles?
I'd like to hear your thoughts.

It might get you a few entry level roles as a pentester but the issue most have with it is that the cert is very beginner level. The exam is basically a password spraying exam with tunneling. If your goal is learning and getting a cert out of it - the HTB academy modules and certs are much more worth the money especially if you can get the student discount.
I will say that the PNPT shows up in more job listings for now - but any hiring manager worth their salt should know that the exam is junk.

Thanks for the tip, man!
Would you consider taking the PNPT to get through the HR gate along with the CPTS to get better job offers?

I've done a few of the TCM ones. I studied the PNPT but never completed the exam (I hate exams), but it provides a solid foundation. I did complete the OSINT, junior malware researcher and Python coding ones, too. They're all solid foundational skills to build on imho, and fairly priced, and only enhance your skillset. Go for it

Really enjoyed it, good setup and starts basic before becoming reasonably complex. Final exam is just an essay you post in discord which is then reviewed (or was when I did it). The discord channel is good for learning about malware, too.
Helps you improve any you create, too

Sounds good, though I have heard they will strip you off your certs if you're not a good role model
