Just factory reset it and sell it to a random person on craiglist (or similar site), there's nothing more to do.
If you don't have the original iPhone 8 box you can buy one from eBay. Put the phone inside the box, shrink wrap the box - using a heat gun to reseal it, then up the price a bit.
