It seems like this conflict is different than all the other Israeli/Palestinian conflicts and I would bet you anything it's because Russia is now pulling the strings. I don't recall Russia ever taking sides on the issue. Israel was even criticized for not imposing more sanctions on Russia after they invaded Ukraine because they didn't want jeopardize their trade agreements. All of a sudden Putin comes out supporting Hamas and their leaders are giving exclusive interviews on Russian tv as if they've been bff's for years? What the fuck.

My tinfoil theory is Israel is threatened by all the free money going to Ukraine and not to them, so they've let Hamas kill a bunch of civilians and are bringing on disproportionate retaliation (how's that worked out so far for deterrence?)
The outcome is obvious.
