I started learning today following ppl's advice on my phone addiction and memorized the alphabets and pronunciation. I've been thinking about learning Russian for some time, but I only started today. If you're a native speaker or an advanced learner of the language, can you give me some tips or advices?

Not a native speaker, but i would try the alphabet then put subtitles on movies or TV.
Try ordering things in Russian, you will keep learning something new everyday.

The movie route definitely helps with some conversational stuff when you get there.....Soviet Vinnie-Poo is damn hilarious and good for learning.

Try translating short books or short stories a few paragraphs or one page at a time. Small things like  "Queen of Spades" or "The Shot" by Pushkin or "The Nose" by Gogol.
Then try reading the thing out loud until you don't have a heavy accent.

Prsioner of The Mountains is a kids book and a actually decent Movie in Russian, heart of a Dog was meant for the illiterate proletariat to make fun of the New Econoic Policy so its written simply, And heart of a dog is like a 2000's movie made to look like the 1930's when it was penned (Bulgakov is the best author Stalin could not censor....kinda)

VK was cool (russian social media) but ever since Ukraine got invaded......never logged back in.

If you have Prime they have  "Diamond Arm" "Briliantov ruka" or " Бриллиантовая рука "
Great Soviet comedy
