The main goal is not economic, but political. Trump is putting pressure on Europe and Britain. He is destroying the world trade system so that producing goods in the US becomes more profitable for American companies. In this way, he wants to shift the economic problems of the US onto trading partners. Therefore, the numbers do not matter

You are wrong, 70 percent of the world market's products are sold in the States, and all the money that the States spend on stimulating the economy goes abroad.

"America controls a lot of the world’s equity. And by a lot, we mean almost all of it.

US equities now make up 70% of the MSCI World Index, which tracks the largest companies around the world, more than double the 30% level seen in the 1980s. While much of that is a direct result of the country’s strong economy and its successful businesses, it’s also based on faith that the US will continue to outperform every nation under the sun."

If a country imports more than it exports, this is the budget deficit. The US is saved only by issuing dollars. All other numbers mean nothing.

Well, Trump made some noise, but he became kinder, tariffs for everyone except automakers are now 10%

Although, no. NOT for everyone. Сrazy tariffs on Chinese goods and nothing changed for Russia. /25% from 2022/ Big Grin
