To Japanese learners, how was your experience of using Anime and or Manga to improve your Japanese?

In my case, I've been using Anime + other Japanese media to increase my hearing ability for Japanese.

Start with easy material. There are a lot of anime and manga that are aimed at children, which can be a great way to start learning Japanese. These shows and books will use simpler language and grammar, making them easier to understand.

Watch or read with subtitles. Subtitles can be helpful for understanding the dialogue in anime and manga. However, it's important to try to listen to the Japanese audio as much as possible. This will help you train your ear to the Japanese language.
Choose anime and manga that you enjoy. If you're not enjoying the material, you're less likely to stick with it. There are many different genres of anime and manga, so there's sure to be something that you'll like.
