I have fought off a pitbull and was able to walk away. He broke his chain and came after me. I knew I could not outrun him so I stood my ground. When he leaped to bite me, I hit him once. He then came back quick and bit my arm as I punch him in the nose with my other fist. He wimpered away and I went to ER for stitches. Neither of us won ... I never want that to happen again.
