In combination with too many interconnected power struggles, the fact that we still share (some) intelligence with those who would be our enemies, it seems pretty unlikely. Another terrorist attack is more likely, which is also very sad.

I'd say that Fentanyl is WW3, and Fentanyl looks like it's winning as far as I can tell. Also very sad.
