It's rather complex really. Innocent civilians trying to live their lives but getting killed for doing so is appalling. These two have been at it for some time now. I hope both sides can see the bigger picture and choose peace and have safe responsible governments that will promote cooperation with each other. That being said this most recent spat was incited by Palestinian leadership and persists because hostages have not been relinquished. Israel was placed in a flashpoint location after WWII violating Palestine's sovereignty at the time and keeping things challenging for Israels safe existence. Both sides need to back down, push for lasting peace, and learn to coexist.
