I want to make a VPN but only have sock5 not a VPS
(what I know is that if you want to make a VPN you have to use a VPS, I saw the tutorial on YouTube)

Where would you be routing the traffic to if you don't have a VPS? I'd recommend just buying one from somewhere like BitLaunch or RDP.sh and installing WireGuard or something of the likes

does OpenVPN suffice, i remember reading something similar where you can fuse OpenVPN with free AWS tier to create your personal VPN

you can do it with Outline to create your own VPN server, also if you want to use a free VPS with good resources you can get it in oracle cloud , I hope you found it helpful

You will need a VPS. There are low cost VPS shared CPUs to rent per month and its not that expensive. Goes for $5-$12 depending on the config
