If you were using the phone to actually perform the DDOS, it's unlikely. However, if you have control of a botnet already, or have access to a botnet, you could trigger the DDOS from an android phone. The issue with having the DDOS originate from the phone is when you want to DDOS something, you want a high volume of traffic to be coming from a bunch of different IP addresses over and over, this is why botnet control is something that is favored when it comes to this. People also have other pieces of software where they can spam requests using a list of HTTP proxies that they configure in apps like the LOIC: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low_Orbit_Ion_Cannon

Botnet control maybe, from the actual phone? Not a chance.

First of all performing a DDoS with a single android phone isn't just unlikely it is actually impossible because the term "DDoS" refers to a "Distributed Denial of Service attack" key word being Distributed meaning more than one device all flooding traffic simultaneously to the target to use all of it's resources or saturate it's connections bandwidth. It would be possible technically to DoS (Denial of Service different than a DDoS) a target if the phone had a very fast connection much faster than the targets to flood it so that it couldn't accept anymore requests from real users but this is pretty unlikely in most scenarios.

Not unless your phone is just sending commands to a botnet

Depends. Network DoS is difficult, you ned a crappy target and 5G on your phone at least.
Application DoS is possible, find the most CPU intensive task without rate limiting and call this in loop from the phone. Can work!

And of course a DDoS with many phones is always possible,

raise the server in order to have more bandwidth, connect the phone and the server. your phone only has a UI where you enter information about the attack url, package number, proxy selection...etc.

Gather all your 20k + X, Facebook, Tik Tok, Mastodon, IG and MySpace friends...launch simultaneous and repeated request(s) from your PC/phone(s)...Maybe, just maybe....

Anything is possible, keep reaching for the stars!

Prob easier just renting a botnet for an hour Smile
