You should think more in terms of, "how can I protect myself"

So, what email service? Gmail? Mistake.
What IP are you registering / visiting the forum on? Home IP? Mistake.

Are you discussing things that could link back to you personally? (E.g. "I have a purple cat" / "i drive a 04 chevy cruise" "I live in Washington DC" "my name is James") Mistake.

Assume your information is compromised at all points in time,aand as a result do not GIVE any information aabout yourself that can be used against you

That's very fair and I understand, I'd just say assume everything that can be grabbed from you is collected from you. But at least you now know some more specifics!
