As most of you probably know computers are incapable of generating random numbers. There are pseudo random number generation (PRNG) algorithms like the mersenne twister which can be used to simulate randomness on a computer. In a physics engine, if a glass pane is shattered on the ground its shards scatter in a seemingly random way but in reality it is predictable and you are able to predetermine the spread if you have a computer program which has knowledge of all the present variables and the functions in which they are applied.
Most people agree that this is not true for real life because of entropy, but some theories like chaos theory suggest that it is possible that the reality is that there are too many variables for us to account for, and that everything is in fact deterministic.
What do you guys think?
