Anonymous numbers increasingly scrutinized?

Probably just me as I am relatively new to this, but it seems the most frequent road block, no matter the path i'm trying to take is bypassing or getting around sms verification. twilio, gvoice, telegram, etc all require phone numbers and none of them are accepting temp numbers. i'm sure there are little tricks i'll pick up on the way but jeepers, it is frustrating...

I'm assuming it's just cutting down on spamming accounts, probably sick of people just signing up willy nilly.

If you are using toll-free numbers, most of them are on the blacklist, which is why some prefer to buy virtual numbers.
