Fitgirl. She cracks Denuvo games, sometimes hyperfocuses for weeks just to crack one stupid game. From what I heard, it's an absolutely mind-boggling amount of extremely complex and frustrating work that pays so little the scene dried up years ago, but Fitgirl seem to have that challenge mentality and just keeps on going.
I pay for my games unless the game do not have a demo in which case, hey, I'm not a kid anymore that's going to buy just from the damn jacket, ahahah. I'll pirate it a give it a test.
And unless it's a DRM-free GOG game, Fitgirl's the only one that's currently doing the good work.
Kevin Mitnick might have done cool pioneering stuff back in the day, but Fitgirl is one that affects people's lives positively today.
damn thats super cool thx for bringing light to Fitgirl! Never saw her before and made me think about how im not cherishing the work of all the crackers out there
Crackers indeed deserve a massive shoutout. I really don't care about those numerous crypto heists, no matter how many zeroes they steal. Crackers allow poor people across the world to use always-online overpriced software like Adobe, people like me who are discerning consumers and want to try before a buy, or kids with no pocket money to have a crack at games that they would otherwise not play until they have reached adulthood.
Crackers are absolutely my favorite "good guys" of the hacking world.
i remember some crackers even putting in notes that if u like the game just buy it to support its creators. I generally agree that crackers are cool but i cannot say good guys since most found out that this is one of the most efficient ways to infect or that some crack early access games who are dirt cheap and really need the money to keep evolving the game
