Hey everyone,
So I’ve been thinking about this whole digital footprint thing lately. Basically, everything we do online – from liking a random meme to buying something off Amazon – is getting tracked and stored. It’s crazy when you think about how much stuff we leave behind without even realizing it.
I was reading some stuff about how our digital footprints can mess with our lives in ways we don’t think about. Like, if you’re job hunting, your social media posts (even from YEARS ago!) could be the reason you don’t get hired. I’ve heard of people not getting jobs because of old stuff they posted ages ago, which is pretty wild.

But it's not just job stuff, right? Like, have you ever thought about all the data companies are collecting on us? It’s kinda freaky sometimes. Ads that follow you around after you look up a pair of shoes online? Yeah, that’s all part of it. And I’ve noticed, even when I clear my cookies or delete my history, those ads still keep popping up. It’s like they know.
And don’t even get me started on data breaches. I’ve seen a bunch of posts from people whose personal info got leaked, which really makes you realize how little control we have over our own data. Makes me wanna start being way more careful about what I share.
If you want to see how much of your info is out there, there’s this site called Have I Been Pwned where you can check if your email has been involved in any breaches. I did it, and let’s just say I was kinda freaked out to see my email pop up in a few places. Now I’m second-guessing everything I put online.
What do you guys think about all this? Do you ever worry about your digital footprint, or is it like "meh, whatever, it’s just how the internet works"? Would love to hear your thoughts.
And if anyone’s got tips on keeping our digital lives more private, I’m all ears!

I could, if I wanted to, have my name removed from the Voter list & still be able to vote, but I don't, I only have my phone & email removed.
