Thanks for posting this, mate. It really helped me understand why I received a couple of leeching alerts and got temporarily banned after the third alert.

great post!
helped me al lot and i will definitely keep it in mind for the future.

but i am not sure if i got the thing with reply walls right.
since i can only view the content after replying to the post, i can not give feedback in the first place.
So, is it best practice to reply something like "will give feedback", then go through the content and afterwards comeback and edit the reply to give feedback?

That's the best practice.

A Guide to Contributing to BreachForums

Hello everyone!

Welcome to BreachForums! Whether you're a new member or a seasoned participant, it's crucial to understand how to interact respectfully and constructively within our community. This thread will provide guidelines on how to avoid being labeled as a leecher or spammer and offer tips on contributing positively to our forum.

First of all, let's understand what a
Leecher or a Spammer is and differences between these two.

  •  What is Leeching?
Leeching refers to the act of taking resources, information, or help from the community without giving anything back. This behavior can be detrimental to the health of the forum as it relies on mutual support and sharing.

Here are some examples of leechers.

[Image: WvQN.PNG][Image: eGtE.PNG]

As you can see people in these screenshots are just saying their thanks. That means they didn't even read the thread and are just going to take resources for themselves without even informing. You shouldn't be like this!
  • What is Spamming?
Spamming is the act of posting irrelevant or repetitive messages, advertisements, or links with little regard for the forum's purpose. This disrupts the flow of discussion and can be very frustrating for other members.

Here are some examples of spammers.

[Image: idRE.PNG][Image: Oidm.PNG]
As you can see people in these screenshots are mostly repeating things and just typing things like "gdahahea". You shouldn't be like this!
How you can avoid Leeching?
  1. Engage Actively: Participate in discussions by asking questions, providing answers, and sharing your experiences.
  2. Share Resources: If you have useful information, tools, or resources, share them with the community.
  3. Give Feedback: When you use someone else’s contribution, provide feedback and don't just say thank you!
  4. Contribute Creatively: Create new threads with valuable content, whether it’s tutorials, guides, or interesting discussions.

How you can avoid Spamming?
  1. Stay on Topic: Ensure your posts are relevant to the discussion. Off-topic posts can derail conversations.
  2. Avoid Repetition: Do not post the same message multiple times. If you have additional thoughts, edit your original post or wait for a response.
  3. Quality Over Quantity: Focus on making meaningful contributions rather than flooding the forum with numerous low-quality posts.
  4. Respect Community Rules: Adhere to the forum’s rules regarding advertising and self-promotion. Use designated areas if you need to promote something.

How to contribute to BreachForums positively?
  1. Be Respectful: Treat other members with respect. Constructive criticism is welcome, but personal attacks are not.
  2. Support New Members: Help newcomers by answering their questions and guiding them through the forum.
  3. Report Issues: If you see spam or inappropriate content, report it to the moderators. This helps maintain the quality of the forum.
  4. Stay Updated: Regularly check for updates to the forum rules and guidelines to ensure you’re in compliance.

By avoiding leeching and spamming, and focusing on making meaningful contributions, you help create a vibrant and supportive community. Thank you for being a part of BreachForums and for your efforts to keep it a great place for everyone!
