From that article, Proton gives data to France and Swiss cops.
It doesn't look like they going after murder, going after climate activists?

Assume the NSA has a 24x7 API feed into Proton now.

It is logical, no company is going to get into trouble with the law to cover up a user who pays less than 100 dollars a year, for that money it does not even cover a consultation with the company's lawyer

Classic ratting by the long-known "anonymous" proton company. They have been snitching for a long time, for about 5 years there has been information that they hand over political activists and particularly interesting citizens to the authorities.

The set is as always simple: the company is registered in Switzerland, closed source code, and as much shit as possible, that we are anonymous, confidential, for freedom of speech and all that.
