There is a lot to unpack here.

First off, can you provide a screenshot of their account to confirm it was them you were talking with?

@DESORDEN , respond. I'm guessing though it looks like they've blocked me possibly, so very likely if thats the case they aren't going to respond but I'll give them a chance to explain this. Not only scamming such a large amount, but also offering to infect our users and snitch to the FBI are very serious offenses, so there may be more to this punishment than just their registration information, but we'll see.

As for what the screenshots lay out. I very much doubt the FBI or any agency is allowed to use stolen information to offer anyone deals lol. So that's likely just nonsense. If you'd like to provide any of the files to staff to analyze for malware let me know, but I would encourage you to look at them yourselves as well to confirm if you haven't already.

Although I'm tired of beating this dead horse, if you are willing to spend such a large amount - use a middleman. The conversation you've had is about the most reoccuring example of how people get scammed. It's always some emergency, someones grandma is sick, or their partner got eaten by wolves in the Siberian wilderness. Don't trust people based on how long they've been doing things, don't trust them because they recognition, it always ends in some type of exit scam.
