For those who are following the case:
His sentence was vacated and the case was remanded to district court for re-sentencing, as I previously reported in January at https://databreaches.net/2025/01/22/do-o...sentenced/
As of February 18, the case has now been officially re-opened in district court under the original case number 1:23-cr-00119-LMB-1 (Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria).
As of February 19, his resentencing hearing has been set for June 3, 2025 at 09:00 AM in Alexandria Courtroom 700 before District Judge Leonie M. Brinkema.
Some of you wondered whether the case would be assigned to a different judge, but the most common practice is for the original judge to do the re-sentencing. Judge Brinkema is the same judge who originally sentenced him to time served plus 20 years of supervised release with special conditions.
