I see what you mean about search functionality. Zed is nice, but VSCode’s features are hard to beat! Still, it’s a solid option.

I don't use anything apart from VSCode & I'm not interesting in any other code editors. Zed looks cool though. I've also tried to use Cursor before and found myself wasting time trying to figure out how to use the AI intergration & shortcuts, I'm just not used to it; same with Github Copilot, not a fan with logging into third-party stuff on my IDE i dunno why.
I just manually go to ChatGPT on my browser and query from there, I'm also not into any other AI models other than that.

What's not good about the Zed search functionality?

I downloaded Zed and tried it for a couple of hours.. Integration of LLMs to assist coding is certainly pretty cool, but that is not a feature unique to Zed as you can use Github Copilot with VS Code too. Not sure what kind of search are you referring to - project wide text search seems to be working fine?

No! VSCode is superior because of the light weight and multi-functionality! The extensions are one of the best thing about it. Haven't really tried Zed, because VSCode is everything a malware developer needs!

I've tried Zed before, it is an incomplete editor, I would not use it over VSC
I use Neovim although, and I personally think it is much better than any other editor

I still use Vscode. For me it just always works and coding is hard enough as is for me.
